The Floor Saviour - Felt Rug Pads

Rug pads are mostly used not only to protect the rug but as well to protect the floor from the scratches. The rug pads also save the family members, from stepping on the rugs might slip you and gives you injury. It is not only saving your rug and making it last longer, but it has also an anti-slip ability to protect your family members as well as the children.

Others in their home say that water proof rug pads are ideal to use. But on my opinion there are no technically that so called water proof rug pads, but the felt rug pads often do the job.
There is a case that a wife of my friend noticed that her rug on the floor is staining. So to know the reason, she lifted the rug and noticed that their pet dog is peeing on the rug for approximately a week. She also noticed some staining on the felt and rubber rug pad underneath. As damp as the rug and pad were, one thing that amazed her is that the hardwood floor underneath did not get damaged.


She concluded that the rubber layer of the felt rug pads was keeping the dog’s urine from seeping through the floor. The floor was dry, even thou the rug was wet. Then she told that she was thankful because she didn’t have to spend hundred dollars just to refurnish the floor
After that she contacted the store where she purchased the rug pads and ask if the pad can be cleaned. They asked her what the origin of the stains where and when they heard that there were several areas of dog urine, they were honest and told her that any cleaning would just be a temporary band aid. The gentleman told her that the felt rug pad could be spot cleaned yet after a few weeks of urine sitting in it, he didn’t want her to chance keeping it in the house.
She agreed and ordered a replacement of the same rug pad. Luckily, she gets a discount upon ordering for the replacement of the rug pad she had purchased. She was happy because she can use the new rug pad she had ordered.

If there are circumstances that you experienced to have spills or waters that scattered in your rugs, try to defend it by using the felt rug pads, because it seeps the liquid from the rug and protects your hardwood floors from damage, as well as other type of wood floors.
